This is the view from the back deck of the Victoria Clipper as we leave Seattle. We had a trip that lasted appoximately two and a half hours. It was pretty smoth sailing for the whole trip, wish I could say the same for the trip home, which was fairly rough for most of the passengers as they were obviously not used to traveling over the sea during rough and choppy waters. I had to giggle to myself. Loree started to get scared. I reassured her that we would be ok.
This is our first stop after touring Victoria, can you guess where we are? We had about two and a half hours to walk around in the gardens. The only regret I had was that we were to early for the roses to be in bloom. But the tulips were in abundance and so were most other types of flowers.

More of the little girl!
She looks sweet now... but when the camera is not on her.
The only new news is that Jocie (Loree's mom)had a mamogram and they found a spot , they are going to do a biopsy to see if it is benign or malignant, this on top of her needing a pace maker and having diabetis. If you could send out some prayers for her and of course Don too. Hopefully the Lord willing this road will not have to many bumps in it. Ouch did I really just type that.
Anyhow check in again later for more pics and info!

Should we trust this look?
Well here she is. I have been trying to figure out what kind of caption to put with this but...
Anyway more of these to come.
Mr. Mom
Matthew says "Hi!", well I'm almost getting the Mr. Mom thing down (Ha, Ha). I have to watch Miranda (this is easy so far as she hasn't learned to crawl yet), and every couple of days during the week I have to run errands which can be hectic as at the present time we only have one car to work with until I fix the other one and that will be awhile till I fiqure out what exactly is wrong. I will be posting another pic of Miranda in a second here but wanted to send greetings from Mattew.

Picture of Miranda
Well I thought that this was going to work but I guess that it is not. I am new to this so perhaps I have not done something right. Anyway we just got a new digital camera that does everything but make me a cup of coffee. I tried to upload some pics of Miranda but it doesn't seem to be working. So unfortunately I am just going to have to bore you with tidious stuff.
Lets see Jocie (mom in law) had an auto accident, she is ok just a little stiff, it was an 18 year old driveing someone else's car and sussposedly it was uninsured.
I will be settleing my accident by the end of this month if I dont have any flair ups with my injuries.
Loree started work on Monday. On the night before she was haveing a little separation anxiety. She was worried that the baby might miss her. I told her that I would hold up a picture for her to look at.
Matthew is still takeing ju jit su and is two belts away from getting his black belt. He needs to be disaplined every now and then to keep up on his home work. But he does ok. I need to give him some more responsibilities around the house. I keep trying to trick him into changeing Miranda but so far have not come up with a good plan.
Miranda just smile's and poops, and snorts when she is hungery.

Baby dedication
Today was baby dedication day at NW. So we made our pledge and got a plaque and Miranda's first bible. Wish I had access to a camera so I could send pics.
We were all very tire that day as we were all very excited and could not sleep well the night before.
Everyone here is doing well and looking forward to another new week to start (not). Hope that all is well with everyone else. Take care and I will try to post more often!

Well hello again sorry it has been a couple of days since posting anything, but having a new baby in the house makes for odd hours and snippets of sleep. Miranda is now 10 lbs. and has grown an inch and a half for a total of 21.5 inches. She smiles a lot, but mostly grunts and snorts, just today she held her first rattle toy, I don't think that she liked it as she hit herself in the head and cried ...it was my fault for pushing her.
Loree is doing ok she has not really expressed a desire to go to work yet. But I know that any day now she will start to get cabin fever.
Matthew had to be pushed to get caught up on his home work which meant that certain privlages were taken away (video games, visiting friends ) but he managed to buckle down and get it all done in one night.
Me I learned to play the "Boogie Woogie" on my guitar along with a 12 bar blues scale in E, C, and A m. Not quite ready to go on the road yet but I am enjoying it. Someone gave me C.S. Lewis's Mere Christianity which is an excelent read. I had just recently finished reading his science fiction trilogy The Silent Planet , Perlandria, This Hideous Strength which I found to be enlightening and entertaining.
O.K. so enough for rambling and such I just thought that I would do a little catching up. Hope to here from you soon.

My first blog
Well welcome first of all. Forgive me if this is not what you expected. But like the title says this is my first blog. I started this to share things about my family with friends and relatives. Somehow I think that it will be easyer to communicate across the world and neiborhoods with those I care about. Unfortunately it will be awhile before I will be able to put up pictures but know that they will be forthcomeing.
